Feast your eyes on this ultimate comeback: The Chopper reborn.

Raleigh has re-released the iconic bike – with its padded backrest, mismatched wheels and ape-hanger handlebars.

The 1970s British classic has been brought back by popular demand from nostalgic parents, say Halfords.

A Halfords’ spokesman said: ‘The Raleigh Chopper is not only a design classic, but also a childhood icon. We’ve seen lots of demand from parents wanting to recreate the magic of their favourite bike for their children.
