This season of Project Runway featured a new challenge: teams. During each episode, the contestants are broken up into two teams. The winner comes from the winning team while the ousted designer comes from the losing team. As of the taping of the finale, only three episodes of the season had aired. The collections were shown without announcing their respective designers, and nine designers got to show (to prevent spoilers). Only one actually stood out as being promising.
After this collection showed, everyone cheered really loudly and both people sitting next to me agreed that this one was by far better than the others.
Every dress in this collection was a Sideboob Dress.
Okay, this might be wack, but for some reason I am partial to the idea of oxblood leather overalls.
14. The bad:
Wilson’s Leather Company from the ’80s called, they want their fringe back!
This is slightly awesome in its channeling of a ’90s Thierry Mugler vibe, but it just isn’t updated enough to look cool.
You can already see Nina Garcia shaking her head in response to the crotch-high hemline.
You gotta feel sort of bad for whoever/whatever was scalped to make these creations happen.
This whole collection looked like Pier 1 Imports threw up.
The model’s stance is perfectly representative of this dress: awkward.
“Give me the ugliest leopard print jersey fabric you have in stock!”
If Lindsay Lohan is a better leggings designer than you, then you’re in trouble.
And the show-stopping finale: a lackluster flamenco dress!
