Man Saves Woman From Being Raped By Fly-Kicking Rapist In The Face

The man was running in the park with his little black puppy when he stepped in to help the woman.

A woman has hailed a man a “hero” after he fly-kicked a rapist who attacked her in a park.

At 2am on June 15, a woman – who did not wish to be identified – was traveling home after a night out with friends from a nightclub. As she made her way through Kevingrove Park, Glasgow, she was attacked.

She said that the attacker was unfastening his trousers when Abdull Oun, a nightclub doorman, intervened.

Abdull Oun heard the woman’s cries as he was running in the park with his little black puppy. He then sprinted to the scene and knocked the man out with a flying kick.

Oun, who was born in Tripoli, Libya, but has lived in Glasgow for 13 years, said he saw that the man had pinned the woman to the ground. He described the attacker – who came to and ran away as Oun helped the woman – as a white Scottish male in his mid-thirties, with the letters “LOVE” tattooed in dark green ink on his right knuckles.

Speaking to the Daily Record, Oun remained modest about being labelled a “hero”, saying: “If I see a person in danger then I will intervene. I would not want to ignore it and then read the next day that a woman had been raped or murdered.”

The woman said that Oun woke her up “from a very bad dream”, adding, “I just wanted to send out a big thank you for his heroism and hope there are more people like him in this world.”

26 Times Alex Salmond Wore The Same Tie

Cool tie bro. BF_STATIC.timequeue.push(function () if (BF_STATIC.bf_test_mode) localStorage.setItem(‘posted_date’, 1408529293); ); BF_STATIC.timequeue.push(function () document.getElementById(“update_posted_time_3417606″).innerHTML = “posted on ” + UI.dateFormat.get_formatted_date(1408529293); );

Here’s Scotland’s first minister, Alex Salmond. And he’s got swag.

How BBC Scotland’s Politics Editor Became A Cult Hero On Twitter Without Ever Tweeting

If it’s a hot political issue in Scotland, you can bet @TannadiceLad is (not) tweeting about it. BF_STATIC.timequeue.push(function () if (BF_STATIC.bf_test_mode) localStorage.setItem(‘posted_date’, 1409066058); ); BF_STATIC.timequeue.push(function () document.getElementById(“update_posted_time_3428908″).innerHTML = “posted on ” + UI.dateFormat.get_formatted_date(1409066058); );

1. With less than four weeks until Scotland’s historic independence referendum, Brian Taylor, BBC Scotland’s politics editor, is a busy man.

He’s been appearing on TV screens daily, as well as updating his blog. He’s a well-respected and experienced journalist, having reported on Scotland’s referendums in 1979 and 1997 for The Press and Journal in Aberdeen.

2. He even did the ALS ice bucket challenge over the weekend, after being challenged by first minister Alex Salmond.

3. But one thing Taylor doesn’t do, despite joining Twitter in May 2012 as @TannadiceLad, is tweet. At all. Ever.

But one thing Taylor doesn

Twitter: @patronsaintofca

He follows 700 people and has somehow managed to gain almost 4,000 followers himself, all by saying nothing at all.

4. He has more followers than OneTweetPete, who, as the name suggests, sent just this one tweet, back in 2011.

OneTweetPete @OneTweetPete

Everyone talks about “going green” lately. The only time I go green is on a long sea voyage! Well, this has been alot of fun. Bye Twitter.

7. This means that people – particularly Ern Malley – have been able to list all sorts of things that @TannadiceLad SHOULD reveal on Twitter.

Can"t believe @Tannadicelad is the next Dr Who – you"d think he"d have kept it under his hat though.

9. There was the time @TannadiceLad summed up the glories of England’s football team this summer.

Ern Malley @loveandgarbage

Incisive tweeting by @tannadicelad summarising all of the good things Steven Gerrard did in the first two England matches.

BF_STATIC.timequeue.push(function () if (BF_STATIC.bf_test_mode) localStorage.setItem(‘tweet_posted_date’, ‘Thu Jun 19 21:19:56 +0000 2014′); ); BF_STATIC.timequeue.push(function () if (BF_STATIC.bf_test_mode) localStorage.setItem(‘utc_posted_date’, ‘Thu Jun 19 21:19:56 +0000 2014′); ); BF_STATIC.timequeue.push(function () ); BF_STATIC.timequeue.push(function () document.getElementById(“update_tweet_posted_time_3681177″).innerHTML = UI.dateFormat.get_formatted_date(‘Thu Jun 19 21:19:56 +0000 2014′, ‘tweet’); );

10. Tweeters have often referred to his “withering responses” to current issues on Twitter.

P=NP @neelypeel

Paxman says twitter is for people with “nothing going on in between their ears”. Fellow BBC journo @TannadiceLad has a withering response.

BF_STATIC.timequeue.push(function () if (BF_STATIC.bf_test_mode) localStorage.setItem(‘tweet_posted_date’, ‘Thu Jun 19 08:44:44 +0000 2014′); ); BF_STATIC.timequeue.push(function () if (BF_STATIC.bf_test_mode) localStorage.setItem(‘utc_posted_date’, ‘Thu Jun 19 08:44:44 +0000 2014′); ); BF_STATIC.timequeue.push(function () ); BF_STATIC.timequeue.push(function () document.getElementById(“update_tweet_posted_time_3680998″).innerHTML = UI.dateFormat.get_formatted_date(‘Thu Jun 19 08:44:44 +0000 2014′, ‘tweet’); );

11. Some people appear to think that he deleted all his tweets for some reason (he hasn’t).

Jim @jafurn50

@TannadiceLad What has BBC"s Mr Brian Taylor been up to that he doesn"t want anyone to see…he"s apparently deleted all his tweets. #oops?

BF_STATIC.timequeue.push(function () if (BF_STATIC.bf_test_mode) localStorage.setItem(‘tweet_posted_date’, ‘Fri Nov 16 20:06:40 +0000 2012′); ); BF_STATIC.timequeue.push(function () if (BF_STATIC.bf_test_mode) localStorage.setItem(‘utc_posted_date’, ‘Fri Nov 16 20:06:40 +0000 2012′); ); BF_STATIC.timequeue.push(function () !isIE8()) document.getElementById(“update_tweet_posted_time_3681355″).setAttribute(‘title’, ‘Time posted: ‘ + UI.dateFormat.get_formatted_date(‘Fri Nov 16 20:06:40 +0000 2012′, ‘UTC’) ); ); BF_STATIC.timequeue.push(function () document.getElementById(“update_tweet_posted_time_3681355″).innerHTML = UI.dateFormat.get_formatted_date(‘Fri Nov 16 20:06:40 +0000 2012′, ‘tweet’); );

12. One running joke is that he has posted loads of tweets, but they were all so controversial, he had to immediately delete them.

Jared Earle @jearle

@loveandgarbage You could tell @TannadiceLad was a man of principle when he deleted all his old tweets.

BF_STATIC.timequeue.push(function () if (BF_STATIC.bf_test_mode) localStorage.setItem(‘tweet_posted_date’, ‘Sun Aug 04 20:57:49 +0000 2013′); ); BF_STATIC.timequeue.push(function () if (BF_STATIC.bf_test_mode) localStorage.setItem(‘utc_posted_date’, ‘Sun Aug 04 20:57:49 +0000 2013′); ); BF_STATIC.timequeue.push(function () !isIE8()) document.getElementById(“update_tweet_posted_time_3681331″).setAttribute(‘title’, ‘Time posted: ‘ + UI.dateFormat.get_formatted_date(‘Sun Aug 04 20:57:49 +0000 2013′, ‘UTC’) ); ); BF_STATIC.timequeue.push(function () document.getElementById(“update_tweet_posted_time_3681331″).innerHTML = UI.dateFormat.get_formatted_date(‘Sun Aug 04 20:57:49 +0000 2013′, ‘tweet’); );
