We’ve seen Doritos successfully partner with tacos in the past.
Now, these cheesy chips have embarked on a new snacktime endeavor to be the next bestselling Mountain Dew flavor.
Yes, that’s right. Doritos-flavored Mountain Dew, or Dewitos, is now a real thing and it sounds disgusting.
Just when you thought nothing could get worse than cappuccino-flavored potato chips, Dewitos proves, once again, that chips and beverages just don’t mix.
The bright orange beverage is currently being tested out at Kent State University in Ohio. According to one lucky taste tester, who goes by the name joes_nipples on Reddit, the samples taste exactly how you would expect — like carbonated, liquified cheese.
I’m pretty sure this is a flavor that won’t be flying off the shelves anytime soon, despite its ingeniously clever and original name.
In addition to Dewitos, Mountain Dew flavors such as Lemon Ginger and Mango Habanero were also tested. With a flavor lineup like that, you might want to stay out of the soda aisle for a while.
