Wait, what? Has Chris Matthews’ “tingle” moved up his leg and into his brain? These tweets from Chris Matthews already made that case.

Romney keeps ignoring what Obama inherited. He keeps going back to January’09 with all of his numbers.#debate

— Chris Matthews (@hardball_chris) October 17, 2012

Didn’t he get Michelle Obama’s memo? President Obama never lays blame or points fingers!

Just finished @hardball. The President has 20 days to sell his economic future for the country.

— Chris Matthews (@hardball_chris) October 17, 2012

Bless your heart, Chris. Further proof of tingling entering the brain occurred last night, when the MSNBC host said that challenging Obama during a debate is totally unconstitutional.

He’s illiterate when it comes to constitution. -Hardball with Chris Matthews on Romney

That nefarious Romney! Running willy-nilly all over The Constitution by … speaking during a debate. How dare he? Doesn’t he know that The Constitution says that no one must dare question The One?

MSNBC host upset that Romney said to Obama, ‘You’ll get your chance in a moment. I’m still speaking’… ow.ly/ezElv

— Byron York (@ByronYork) October 18, 2012

More from The Examiner:

ROMNEY: How much did you cut them by?

OBAMA: I’m happy to answer the question.

ROMNEY: All right. And it is — I don’t think anyone really believes that you’re a person who’s going to be pushing for oil and gas and coal. [Gestures.] You’ll get your chance in a moment. I’m still speaking.

OBAMA: Well –

ROMNEY: And the answer is I don’t believe people think that`s the case because –

ROMNEY: — that wasn’t the question.

OBAMA: OK.

ROMNEY: That was a statement.

After the clip ended, Matthews seemed appalled. “I don’t think [Romney] understands the Constitution of the United States,” Matthews said. “He’s the president of the United States. You don’t say, ‘You’ll get your chance.’”

What? No one dare speak in the presence of Dear Leader! He, and fellow noted Constitutional expert, James Lipton, then fretted and wrung hands over how rude Romney was. By not paying the proper deference to Obama and “looking down on him as a person.” Good grief! Did they scrawl entries about meany pants Romney in their tear-stained diaries?

Twitter users had a little something to say about that, natch.

Uh, @hardball_chris, the Constitution is SILENT on presidential debate etiquette. Nice try, though. #msnbc
