Panic, fear, and angst are constantly hiding in the shadows no matter what Royce does. It’s a daily battle that he wins everyday, but there is always another war tomorrow.

And for that reason alone, there was a question if he would make the 2012 draft.

Last summer, photographer Michael LaFrance captured a terribly emotional family moment. He’s used to working at weddings, but this scene that has just started to trend now is extra touching.

Andrea’s father had passed just a few months before her wedding from pancreatic cancer. In honor of dad, her brother covered the touching country classic Butterfly Kisses to be played during the Andrea’s allotted father-daughter-dance. 

Since dad obviously could only attend his daughter’s wedding in spirit form, Andrea danced with her brothers, grandpa, and new father-law. Not an eye was dry.

While discussing moral behavior in animals, Frans and his team conducted an experiment where two monkeys would receive the same payment of a cucumber slice for completing a task. 

At first they are both satisfied with their cucumber. But when one of the monkeys is given an ‘expensive’ grape instead, his counterpart is disgusted with his measly cucumber and throws the piece in the face of the experiment technician. 

The implications of the experiment are quite obvious.

Photographer Gordon Buchanan traveled to the Arctic to document a polar bear family for the BBC2‘s upcoming special, My Polar Bear Family and Me.

While in a special protective cage similar in concept to an above ground shark cage, a very hungry polar bear caught a whiff of his scent.

Though she never ended up breaking into the ‘ice cube,’ her vicious 45 minute attempt “was one of the most terrifying things that I’ve ever done,” reports the Scottish artist.

Maggie was all buckled up, ready for her boyfriend Jake Wile to burn rubber on the autocross course at Moore Airfield in Ayer, Ma. But suddenly, in the middle of the track, he ripped up the emergency brake and threw off his helmet. 

“I have to ask you something,” he prefaced. 

“You’re the most amazing woman I’ve ever met in my life. I want you to be on my team for life. I want you to be my co-driver. Will you marry me?”
