Back in March, the father of an 8-month-old boy noticed that he looked sad after a commercial for Nationwide aired on TV. The dad sang him the jingle and the boy just couldn’t handle it.
Then, for posterity’s sake and to make sure it wasn’t a fluke, Dad did it a couple other times and filmed it…

After hearing the dad’s version compared to the real one, you’d be reasonable to hypothesize that the baby actually just hates his dad’s singing, not the jingle itself, but he says no…
Yes, I know I have the worst singing voice any of you have ever had the displeasure of hearing…. So before you comment, I feel the need to tell you that he’s never freaked out about how terribly I sound (although he’d have every right to.) For whatever reason, he just really didn’t like that jingle.
