WestJet sends one of their own employees to replace a city worker so he can visit his sick son




Marc Grimard works in the public transit department of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. But because one of his sons has a dangerous congenital heart condition, his child and wife have spent the last several months in Edmonton, Alberta staying at the Ronald McDonald House. So for the last 3-and-a-half months, their family has been separated by over 300 miles — mom and son at the hospital, dad and the other son holding down the fort back home.


In their latest surprise random-act-of-kindness, WestJet arranged for one of their customer service agents to get trained in Marc’s job and then take his place for a week so he could take paid time off and visit his wife and sick boy.


When he received the news of his unexpected vacation you see a coworker wipe away a tear… Don’t be surprised if you join him.
