Lift helps you form the habits you wish you had. The app lets you create an unlimited number of habits –such as exercise, floss, or read more – and then check-in when you do those things.

Lift provides weekly and monthly reports on how you’re progressing along, and lets you connects with others who have similar goals on the service.

Facebook Camera

Facebook Camera was updated this week to version 1.1. The newest version of the app adds the ability to add photos to any album you choose – including creating a new album entirely—as well as adds notifications for tags, likes, and comments. Likes and comments are also now available for posts with multiple photos.

Hooha

Twitter competitor App.net got its first Android app this week. Called Hooha, the Android app lets you view your stream, mentions and global posts on the service. From the app you can compose a new message, reply to others, and repost message you read on your own timeline. The app also allows you to view user profiles, follow and unfollow other users, and share links to Hooha from other Android apps.

DriveScribe

Looking to make sure yourself or your teen stays safe behind the wheel. DriveScribe is an Android and iOS app that turns your phone into a driving coach. The app does things like monitor your speed and block incoming texts while you’re behind the wheel. Drivers also earn points for safe driving that can later be redeemed for gift cards.

ReadQuick

ReadQuick is a new iPad app designed for speed-readers, or those who have ambitions of becoming speed-readers. The app lets you gather articles you want to read via Insapaper, featured content, or URL and then has you read those articles a single word at a time.

Words appears and disappear quickly, so you have to stay on your toes to ensure you don’t miss anything. Words can pop up anywhere between 250 and 800 words per minute, and can be customized for your own personal reading style.

Dan Deacon

If you’re headed to a Dan Deacon show anytime soon, you’ll want to make sure you bring your smartphone along with you. The artist has created an app that encourages show attendees to pull out their smartphones during the performance, making those phones part of the show.

The app synchronizes all of the phones in the room, turning each one into a light show and sound system for the concert.
