This infographic woke me up. I’d pondered the prevalence of Muslim stereotypes before, but not necessarily stereotypes of Muslim women. The good news is we can all speak up about it and make some brand spankin’ new change! I love it when my world opens up a little bit more each day.
CalenGoo integrates with Google Calendar and displays events in the same colors you’ve chosen on Google Calendar. Plus, it recognizes visible and hidden calendars.
Compatible with iOS and Android, the app lets you make changes to your calendar, even when you’re not connected to the Internet, and then syncs when you are.
The app also allows you to invite people to events, and integrates with Google Tasks for creating task lists.
Price: from $5.99

The full version of the app also includes a widget to view your calendar from your phone’s home screen.
Price: $2.45
7. CalAlarm
Need a gentle, audible reminder about events on your calendar? Calendar Alarm shows your appointments in a clear list, day, week and month view and lets you add notification sounds to existing alerts — the app has 25 built in. With iOS 5 and above, you can also use music or ringtones as alerts.
Cleaning up after your pet can be a little messy. Hair gets everywhere and when it comes time to vacuum the floors you spend half your time unclogging your conventional vacuum. With that common struggle in mind, the innovators at Dyson created a tool to tackle those hairy jobs.
The Dyson Tangle-free Turbine tool attaches to your Dyson vacuum and uses two counter-rotating brush heads. The dual heads are what make this design different than the brush bar design of other vacuums. Normally hair can easily wrap around the brush bar, slowing down the roller and eventually needing to be cut or pulled loose. The Tangle-free Turbine tool collects more hair without getting hair caught on the brushes.
A pivoting head allows for constant contact to wavy surfaces, so when you’re trying to vacuum the surface of your dog’s bed you don’t have to worry about missing a spot.
Do you have any solutions to picking up the accumulating dog har or cat hair in your home? Watch the video below and let us know in the comments.

Confession time: I’m an atheist. PLEASE DON’T CLOSE THIS WINDOW YET! By being an atheist, I am in no way judging others’ beliefs. I just lack them. Same with Diana Nyad, the world class swimmer and all-around awesome human being. We still have moral codes, just like everyone else. We just are slightly different. Which Oprah didn’t think was possible. However, Oprah recovered nicely toward the end and really listened, which was a pleasant surprise. Yay for civilized conversation!
I would really love it if you could find it in your heart to share this. Everyone thinks we’re all dead inside and can’t appreciate the beauty of the universe. But we really do. And we have real morals and everything. So please share this. And if you liked what Diana had to say, you could Like her on Facebook. I’ll owe you one.
An unhappy groom told his bride he wanted a divorce as she lifted her veil to reveal her face for the first time.
The couple had not met before the arranged marriage, and were about to pose for pictures after walking down the aisle when it took a turn for the worse.
The husband jumped to his feet and yelled: “You are not the girl I imagined. I’m sorry – but I divorce you.”
Unsurprisingly, the bride didn’t take it well. She is understood to have collapsed in hysterics. Wedding guests stepped in to try and resolve the situation, although what you can do or say to fix things after that, we’re not too sure.
It is the custom in some Middle Eastern countries, as this couple did in the town of Medinah, to agree to marry despite having never seen each other in person.
There was an immediate backlash against the groom, with one friend posting: “He caused her great pain through his irresponsible attitude, and he deserves to suffer.
“He should appreciate that beauty is in the character, not the face.”
