Watch Mark Zuckerberg Speak On Immigration Reform For The First Time






1. Mark Zuckerberg spoke publicly on the importance of passing immigration reform last week at a gathering of Silicon Valley tech leaders and undocumented immigrants in San Francisco. Here is the full video:





The Facebook founder is introduced at the 3:20 mark. He then brings in high-profile immigration activist Jose Antonio Vargas who was screening his movie “Documented,” about his journey in America over 20 years without papers.





3. After the movie a panel discussion was held, including Groupon founder Andrew Mason and Ruchi Sanghvi, the first female engineer hired by Facebook, now with DropBox.






4. Zuckerberg, who founded FWD.us to promote immigration reform, along with Harvard roommate Joe Green, has intensified his push as reform hangs in the balance in the House.

Rather than focus strictly on industry concerns, like more visas for immigrants in tech, he has gone all in on a pathway to citizenship for the 11 million undocumented immigrants waiting to find out their fate.
