Girl Trying To Twerk In A Moving Car Falls Out And Eats Sh*t (Video)

There have been a lot of revolutionary advancements made over time that were only made possible by those who took the pre-existing ideas of other people and figured out a way to take them to the next level.

Twerking has been in the mainstream ever since it was shamelessly appropriated by Miley Cyrus a few years ago, but one girl decided that merely shaking what she’s got on a stationary surface wasn’t going to set her apart from the thousands of other people who do the same thing every day.

She decided the best way to take her twerking game to the next level was to hang out the side of a moving car while moving her assets for the camera.

I assume she was trying to be sexy, but in my experience, I’ve found most people won’t find you super attractive after you smash your face into the ground because you fell out of a moving vehicle.

Mitt Romney Loses Election, Wins at Singing Concession

Mitt-romney-loses-election-wins-at-singing-concession-video--073c5145ab

The Gregory Brothers have struck again — this time, creating a musical version of what Mitt Romney may have really been thinking during his concession speech on election night.

This version of the Republican candiate isn’t disappointed about his loss to Barack Obama at all. Instead, he’s quite jovial. Find out why by pushing play and bopping your head to the toe-tapping tune.

The Gregory Brothers, the duo behind “Songify the News” and the “Bed Intruder Song,” teamed up with Maker Studios to add a melody to this year’s presidential campaign. The collaboration resulted in clever song versions of every debate of the 2012 election.

Which songified political moment was your favorite? Sing it in the comments below.

These Are the Cutest Elephants You"ll See All Day

These-are-the-cutest-elephants-you-ll-see-all-day-video--f2923c62bc

Unless you’re on a safari right now, this is probably the closest you’ll get to seeing a baby elephant: Watch a herd cross the road, and just when you think they’ve made it to safety, a baby elephant scampers across to catch up with his family.

If that’s not enough elephant goodness for you, watch this party animal get out of control in a nearby pool. We hope he doesn’t mind the taste of chlorine. “Oh, hai. I’m just going to drink from your pool, kay? Kay.”

Chill out to a cover of "Shake It Off" made with kazoos and ukeleles

You can’t go anywhere without hearing Taylor Swift‘s “Shake It Off”, despite the fact it was pulled from Spotify along with the rest of her catalog.

But it will be OK: Popular indie rock and YouTube cover band Walk off the Earth created a stripped-down version of Swift’s popular tune using ukuleles, shakers and kazoos. Yes, kazoos.

If you didn’t have the song stuck in your head yet: Enjoy.

Finally, a Movie That Panders to "90s Kids

Get ready to kick your nostalgia into overdrive.

There are no shortage of ’80s and ’90s toy-themed movies like The Lego Movie and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles hitting theaters, but this parody trailer from The Wil Wheaton Project tops them all.

As Wil Wheaton commented on YouTube, “We at the Wil Wheaton Project believe it’s finally time for the most pandering nostalgia film of all time!”

"Back to the Future" Got More Than Time Travel Wrong

It turns out that a plutonium-powered sports car is the least of Back to the Future‘s logical stretches.

Cinema Sins has rounded up every misstep and continuity error found in the time traveling classic, and came to the important conclusion that it’s a great film despite its sins.

With 55 mistakes, the film still managed to teach a generation lessons like the importance of standing up for yourself and the ease of car surfing. And when you focus on that, you forget the fact that in the world of film, you can stand in a line of flames unharmed.

Walk Off the Earth Delivers Elaborate One-Take Music Video

Wall Off the Earth, the quintet whose cover of Gotye’s “Somebody That I Used to Know” went viral this year and earned them a record deal, are fiddling with time in their new video for “Red Hands.”

Shot in one take, the video shows the group members singing and playing instruments at different speeds.

“We shot it on a steady-cam and walked backward down the whole hallway with the band walking forward performing the out of order song toward the camera,” director Ellis Bahl said in a statement. “We only had enough supplies/daylight for 10 takes and finally got it on the last one. It was really scary, but the payoff was immense.”

“Red Hands” premiered on NPR’s All Songs Considered and is the first single from the group’s R.E.V.O. EP.

Walk Off the Earth’s cover of “Somebody That I Used to Know” (watch below) now has 138 million views on YouTube. The creative cover caught the attention of Columbia Records, which signed the band in February.

Empty NYC Is Fake — For Now

Empty-nyc-is-fake-for-now-video--db7de17db6

With New York City residents hunkering down in their homes to escape from Hurricane Sandy, the streets of Manhattan can seem pretty desolate.

Not, however, this desolate.

After two other successful street-emptying time lapses, filmed in Seattle and San Francisco, Thrash Lab and Ross Ching are back with their third installment of “Empty America.”

This time, they wipe the bustling metropolis of New York City clear of inhabitants.

Iconic landmarks such as Wall Street, Central Park, Times Square, Penn Station, The Met and Fifth Avenue appear eerily, spookily empty.

Snoop Dogg Fulfills Kate Upton"s Hot Pocket Dreams

What do Kate Upton and Snoop Dogg have in common? A deep love of microwaveable meat-filled pastries.

In a bizarre new commercial for Hot Pockets, the model devours her microwaved snack before falling into a deep sleep. In her dreams, Snoop Dogg takes her on a musical ride through the sunny, garlic-filled world of Hot Pockets. They swing by “Snoop’s Sky High Bakery” before heading to “Bigg’s Butcher Shop,” where they learn about the meats used in each pastry.

Set to the melody of Biz Markie’s 1989 hip-hop hit “Just a Friend,” “You Got What I Eat” features praise for Snoop’s “baking” skills, Upton dressed as a saloon girl and an 8-bit butcher. How these seemingly nonsensical pieces made it into this commercial is a mystery, though one thing is certain: You’ll be totally craving Hot Pockets.

Awesome Dad Makes Perfect Hype Video For Son"s First Birthday Party

As a general rule, I hate almost anything parents do when it comes to organizing a party for their child’s first birthday because there are literally zero people in the world that can tell you about what a great time they had when they turned one.

While you’re certainly allowed to celebrate going a year without managing to find a way to kill your kid, I don’t see the point in wasting time and money on an event that the guest of honor isn’t going to be able to remember — or at least I didn’t until I saw this video.

I still think throwing a birthday party for a 1-year-old is a dumb idea, but if you’re going to do it, releasing a hype video like this as the invitation is the only way to go.

I have a feeling this is going to be a rager.

Stephen Colbert has the best, nerdiest explanation for the new lightsaber

It’s official: Stephen Colbert is a Jedi master.

The new lightsaber featured in the trailer for Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens has whipped up a frenzy of controversy amongst fans online. Naturally, Star Wars über-nerd Stephen Colbert had to put the debate to rest at last on The Colbert Report.

Not only does Colbert have a keen analysis, he also proved himself to be the ultimate fan. “I have been a Star Wars fan two weeks longer than any of you,” he said.

Colbert’s deft and complicated explanation for the cross guard on the new lighsaber is sure to silence any nay-saying “nerfherders” out there who assume the extra blades will chop off the wielder’s hands. Colbert said, “Confused? Well you’ll understand in two weeks when you catch to where I’m at … Amateur hour is over.”

Consider your minds blown, nerds.
