A Mommy Dog And Her Babies Were Dying In The Desert. Get Ready For This... Because It"s Amazing.

If you don’t know Eldad by now, you probably don’t spend much time on the Internet. He’s the man behind so many unbelievable dog rescues… and I’m pretty sure he just outdid himself. This military style rescue mission took Eldad three days, driving more than 1,000 miles and an unyielding willpower to save four dogs that would have died from infections or starvation deep in the Mojave desert.

This is Saharah. At around the 3:40 mark of the video, your heart will absolutely BREAK.

And this is Moses. His injuries are unimaginable, but just keep watching.

It’s the most epic rescue video you’ll ever see. It’s kinda long, but totally 100% worth it… trust me.

Selena Gomez Debuts Racier Look in Leaked "Slow Down" Music Video

Selenators were in for a treat on Friday, as word spread that Justin Bieber’s on-again, off-again sweetheart’s new music video for “Slow Down” leaked a little earlier than expected.

The song is the second single, following “Come & Get It,” off Selena Gomez’s debut solo album, Stars Dance.

In the above video — which is currently unembeddable via YouTube, but was nabbed by gossip site Perez Hilton — Gomez cruises through Paris in the backseat of a sleek black car, and from time to time, hits the dance floor with some risqué, not-very-Disney moves.

“I just wanna feel your body right next to mine, all night long,” the Spring Breakers star sings. “Baby, slow down the song, and when it’s coming closer to the end, hit rewind.”

Although artists don’t always respond positively to leaked projects, Gomez’s Twitter has so far been quiet about the video’s premature release. For the rest of Twitter, however, it’s a different story.

selena > miley, there is no debate anymore sorry http://t.co/sbDWVLLTZS

— R.I.P Cory (@cristinaalfaro6) July 19, 2013

(There were also more than 14 of these — I’m getting mixed messages):

@HollywoodRecs @selenagomez SLOW DOWN MUSIC VIDEO WAS RELEASE ON THE INTERNET. IT NEEDS TO GO ON VEVO RIGHT NOW #SelenaPutSlowDownOnVEVO 14

— k (@mileysbad) July 19, 2013

Slow Down is just another cheap remake of Who Owns My Heart. You tried @selenagomez

— Yağmur (@nouxph) July 19, 2013

The entire Stars Dance album reportedly leaked online, as well:

first the album leaked, now the video for slow down. what’s going on with @selenagomez management? loved the video btw.

— Luis Ángel (@ambrizlombriz) July 19, 2013

How does EVERYTHING of @selenagomez‘s keep getting leaked? Naw. This time, I’m gonna WAIT to watch the SLOW DOWN music video

— 3 More Days MDH (@DiamondSelenurr) July 19, 2013

Stars Dance‘s official global release is slated for July 23 — one day after Gomez turns 21.

Embattled Todd Akin Asks For Forgiveness in New Ad

Todd Akin, the Republican Congressman from Missouri whose comments about rape over the weekend prompted calls for his resignation, is asking voters for forgiveness in a new ad.

In the 30-second spot above, Akin acknowledges that “I used the wrong words in the wrong way and for that I apologize.” Akin continues, “The fact is, rape can lead to pregnancy. The truth is rape has many victims. The mistake I made was in the words I said, not in the heart I hold. I ask for your forgiveness.”

Akin on Sunday told a local news station that “from what I understand from doctors [pregnancy from rape] is really rare. If it’s a legitimate rape, the female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down.” The comments led the National Republican Senatorial Committee, which works to elect Republicans to the Senate, to redirect $5 million in advertising funds previously put aside for Akin’s bid, according to a report from The Associated Press. = Akin has said he has no plans to pull out of his upcoming race but compounded his image problems Monday with a no-show on CNN’s Piers Morgan Tonight that led Morgan to call Akin a “gutless little twerp.”

These Are the Cutest Elephants You"ll See All Day

Unless you’re on a safari right now, this is probably the closest you’ll get to seeing a baby elephant: Watch a herd cross the road, and just when you think they’ve made it to safety, a baby elephant scampers across to catch up with his family.

If that’s not enough elephant goodness for you, watch this party animal get out of control in a nearby pool. We hope he doesn’t mind the taste of chlorine. “Oh, hai. I’m just going to drink from your pool, kay? Kay.”

California Officer Suspended For Saying She Wants To Run Over Cyclists In YouTube Video

“I hate bicyclists, every single one of them.”

1. Laura Weintraub, a volunteer police officer at California’s Santa Paula Police Department, has been placed on administrative leave after railing against cyclists on YouTube.

View this image ›

youtube.com

3. The Calabasas resident made the comments in her vlog series “Cup Holder Commentary,” where she films herself in the car giving opinions on everything from fetishes to revealing Halloween costumes.

View this image ›

5. But her recent (now-deleted) vent about hating bicyclists, in which she asked her husband how much she’d have to pay him to run over one, resulted in enough controversy for her to be suspended from her volunteer police job.

In the video he responds, “How much do you have in your wallet right now?”

Facebook Post. facebook.com

7. During the clip, Weintraub does not identify herself as a police officer, and she was not on-duty while filming.

youtube.com

9. The video closes out with a shot of an iconic bike crash image from 2008, where a drunk driver plowed into a crowd of bikers during a race, killing one and injuring at least 10 others. The caption on the video said, “Like you’ve never thought about it…”

View this image ›

11. After commenters began angrily sharing the video on the police department’s Facebook page, a post said the officer had been placed on administrative leave.

“The purpose of this post is to notify the community that the volunteer who made the video about cyclist has been placed on Administrative Leave pending an investigation,” the department wrote.

A second reserve officer who responded to the comments was also placed on administrative leave.

Though the video was gone from Weintraub’s YouTube page by Saturday, at least one other person had reposted it.

12. Unsatisfied commenters still took to Weintraub’s Facebook to criticize her comments on public pictures from her wedding.

14. A follow-up post allegedly written by Weintraub apologized for giving the department negative attention.

This post is intended for all those in the cycling community and others whom I may have offended. I was the volunteer who made the original comment regarding the video about the cyclists. My comment was not intended to downplay the seriousness of the safety issues bikers face when they are out on the road. What I regret most is putting our Chief, officers and police department in a negative light. Many accused the Chief of making the comment, he did not. I also was the one that deleted some of the replies when the language became severe. I again sincerely [sic] appoligize for the comment and honestly wish everyone a safe journey out there on the road.

15. Though many were still leaving angry comments, by Sunday, some people were just ready for the whole thing to blow over.

Zombie Horde Attacks in "Black Ops II" Trailer

If you get tired of shooting other soldiers in the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops II, you can instead take out the world’s real threat: the living dead.

Activision released a graphic trailer for the Zombie mode in the latest Call of Duty game Wednesday. It shows off the expanded mode, and the horror of the undead trying to board your train by brain-thirsty force. While these zombies look fierce, it’s not clear why they have glowing blue eyes.

The game will feature a variety of modes that incorporate the zombies, including Grief mode in which two teams of four battle amidst waves of attacking undead.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II will be out Nov. 13 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC, and Nov. 18 for the Wii U.

Video Captures Terrifying Moment Iceberg Collapsed, Unleashing Huge Tidal Wave Near Boaters

“All I could see was this tidal wave coming toward us.”

1. “I think my heart came up, and I swallowed it. I was petrified,” said Wanda Stead to CBC, who captured this dramatic video while boating on Canada’s Bay of Exploits with her husband last week.

The footage shows the iceberg slowly falling apart on the lower-left side, but then suddenly collapse at the arch, sending the majority of the structure collapsing into the water below.

2. “All I could see was this tidal wave coming toward us,” she said to CBC, also admitting they were “too close,” parking their boat 100-150 feet away from the large iceberg.

youtube.com / vine.co

“Accidents are unplanned events,” Snead said to CBC. “You never know with something that big … and people need to know.” Her goal of sharing the video was to make people aware of the dangers of approaching large icebergs like this, according to CBC.

3. Still shots from other videos uploaded by the boaters show the same iceberg before the collapse, and immediately after when the boaters circled back to check out the result.

Obama"s New YouTube Ad May Lead Voters to Wrong Polling Stations

The Obama campaign took over the front page of YouTube Tuesday with an interactive banner ad that helps voters locate nearby polling stations.

At least in theory.

When tipster Matt Halfhill entered his Fresno, Calif., address, the ad sent him to a polling place four hours away. I entered my childhood address in Newport Beach, Calif., and it sent me to a station in Nevada, Iowa. Then I tried addresses in New York, N.Y., Hanover, N.H., and Denver, Colo.; the New York addresses checked out perfectly, but Hanover and Denver yielded no results.

“For the amount of money a takeover on YouTube costs, I am sure an agency is about to have some explaining to do,” Halfhill observed in an email to Mashable.

The Obama campaign could not be immediately reached for comment.

Does the voting tool work for you? Let us know in the comments.

UPDATE: A Google spokesperson said that there was a glitch in the ad “that affected a small number of addresses this morning” that has since been fixed.
